2011 Wilmington Health Hotline Connects Callers with Physicians

Forty Wilmington-area physicians participated in the 2011 WWAY-TV Health Hotline, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on January 25, 2011 at Independence Mall in Wilmington, NC. 536 viewers took advantage of the opportunity to talk with a physician at no charge. 71% of the callers were women in the 40 to 74 age range. The NCMS, New Hanover-Pender County Medical Society and WWAY-TV co-sponsored the annual event, which began in the early 1990s.

WITN-TV in Greenville-Washington will host its annual Doctors-on-Call on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at the WITN studio in Greenville, NC. The Pitt County Medical Society (PCMS) and NCMS have co-sponsored the event with WITN for more than 20 years.
