The North Carolina Partnership for Compassionate Care (NCPCC) was formed in 2012 by a group of like-minded individuals seeking to help educate and inform health care providers and North Carolina patients about end-of-life issues. Advisory Committee



This board meets on a monthly basis.

 

The Advisory Committee is charged to:

  • Establish strategic direction, objectives, and alignment of initiatives
  • Ensure development of appropriate initiatives for education and advocacy
  • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders, including the public practitioners across the health care continuum, special interest groups, and the media
  • Evaluate initiatives for quality, attainment of outcomes, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee policy development, including legislative enablement and revisions
  • Liaise with national POLST Paradigm task force

Statewide Steering Committee



First chartered in May 2012, the Steering Committee meets semi-annually as a full committee.

This committee is charged with providing input on:

  • Needs assessment and overall program direction
  • Design and development of initiatives for education and advocacy
  • Program assessment and continuous improvement
  • Identifying and engaging key stakeholders, regionally and statewide
