Devdutta Sangvai, MD, MBA, FAAFP, immediate past president of the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS), participated in a Roundtable Discussion on “The Impact of Evolving Physician Medical Practices on Patient Care.” The discussion, held in Washington, D.C., earlier this month, was organized by The Physicians Foundation, a nonprofit, research, policy study and grantmaking organization that seeks to advance the work of practicing physicians and health care delivery to patients.

Dr. Sangvai was joined on the panel by Susan Bailey, MD, the vice speaker of the AMA’s House of Delegates and former president of the Texas Medical Association and Robert Bosi, MD, a family physician in rural Minnesota and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Minnesota. The panel was moderated by Joseph Valenti, MD, a Physicians Foundation board member and chair of the Healthcare Cost Drivers task force.
