For the first time this year at its Annual Meeting the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and the Durham Orange County Medical Society held a Scientific Poster Session for medical students, residents and fellows. The session highlights the belief that the science of medicine, innovation and discovery are at the core of the NCMS mission.
NCMS Director of Member Services Emily Deese worked to organize the contest, in conjunction with its sponsor Durham Orange County Medical Society. Members of this county society also served as judges of the 57 posters submitted. The winners of the contest in each category are:
