The American College of Surgeons will hold a forum on Surgical Health Care Quality on Wednesday February 19, 2014, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 7:30am until 10:00am.

 The forum will be hosted by Timothy Farrell, MD, FACS, and Mark Weissler, MD, FACS, and will discuss the importance of quality in public health; political realities of improving health care in the U.S.; hospital perspectives on quality improvement; the role of payers in improving surgical quality; regional perspective on quality collaboration; and training future surgeons in surgical quality.
