After carefully reviewing and discussing health care reform legislation pending in the US Senate, the NCMS Board of Directors this week sent a letter to NC Senators Richard Burr (R) and Kay Hagan (D) explaining the NCMS position on HR 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
US Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) has offered additional insight into the debate underway in the Senate over the health care reform bill. “This bill also falls short in addressing medical malpractice reform and physician reimbursement,” Senator Burr wrote.
The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) have expressed “profound disappointment” in a letter the AMA sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on December 1, 2009 regarding HR 3590.
