Senate Bill 33 Medical Liability Reform is due to land on Governor Perdue’s desk this afternoon, after the General Assembly enacted the historic bill last night. The measure automatically becomes law after 10 days, unless the Governor signs or vetoes the bill before the waiting period ends.
On June 6, the North Carolina Medical Society submitted comments on the Proposed Rule for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to Donald Berwick, MD, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
