Governor Purdue recently appointed Dr. Karen Gerancher of Winston-Salem to the North Carolina Medical Board. Dr. Gerancher earned her MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSOM) (formerly Bowman Gray) in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Gerancher currently serves as medical director for the Forsyth County Health Department’s Family Planning Clinic. She is assistant professor and residency program director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at WFUSOM. For more information regarding this appointment, visit the Medical Board’s website.
