Great American Smokeout to Take Place November 15

On Thursday, November 15, 2012, the American Cancer Society will hold “Great American Smokeout,” an initiative that asks people to give up cigarettes for a day and donate the money they would have spent on cigarettes to a high school scholarship program. The program became nationwide in 1977 with nearly 1 million smokers quitting for the day.

More information and resources regarding the Smokeout is available online. Share this information with your patients to help them move toward a healthier lifestyle and raise money for a great cause.
