Latest Guidance on Ebola; Hotline Number Changed

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services recently updated Ebola provider and laboratory guidance and guidance for non-hospital health care facilities. These documents have been updated to include new guidance regarding countries designated by CDC as posing a risk of Ebola exposure — currently Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Mali. Both documents and the corresponding one-page algorithms are available at the departments Ebola website  under “Information for Providers”.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these documents, please contact [email protected].

Also, the public information hotline set up to field inquiries from the general public about Ebola and the state’s response has changed. The new number is: 1-844-836-8714.
