June 1, 2010 is the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) deadline to enforce a provision of the “red flags” rule. This requires all physicians adopt and implement written plans for the identification, detection, and response to patterns, practices, or specific activities – known as “red flags” – that could indicate identity theft.
Failure to comply may subject a company to civil monetary penalties up to $2,500 for each independent violation of the rule. Furthermore, a failure to comply will increase a company’s exposure to negligence claims.
NCMS Partner Medical Justice recently partnered with Manhattan-based Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Greenberg, Formato & Einiger, LPP, one of the nation’s leading law firms specializing in healthcare, to develop a comprehensive, Red Flag Compliance Program.
This easy-to-implement program includes step by step instructions to identify and protect covered accounts, easy to understand and complete fulfillment templates, procedures, policies and Abram’s Red Flag phone-hotline with 1 hour of FREE consultation. While legal work of this caliber would normally cost over $2,000, for a limited time only, Medical Justice is offering this comprehensive program for only $60 when a physician joins Medical Justice.
