Membership Renewal Period Closing: Renew Today!

If you have not renewed your NCMS membership, time is running out for this membership year! The NCMS continues to help make North Carolina a better place to practice medicine, including advocacy in the following areas:

Health Information Technology. The NCMS helps to improve practice infrastructure and implement new technologies. Experts are available to consult with practices on selecting and implementing electronic health records, achieving meaningful use, and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards.

Practice Management. The NCMS offers consulting and educational tools to help your practice identify potential problems areas, evaluate options, and implement solutions in areas such as revenue cycle management, strategic and operational planning, and ICD-10 Implementation.

Community Practitioner Program (CPP). The CPP helps medically underserved communities across North Carolina attract and retain needed medical practitioners with a comprehensive loan repayment program and practice support.

Payor Policies and Intervention. The NCMS has helped countless medical practices understand their rights within managed care systems and works on specialty-specific payment issues. Physicians and practice managers alike seek their guidance on everyday practice payment issues.

Legislative Advocacy. Last summer, the NCMS and its partners scored a fantastic victory: Medical liability reform became law in North Carolina. Results are emerging from this victory, including “credits” from medical liability insurers. The NCMS Legislative Team works continually to protect medical practices from the effects of regulatory changes including Medicaid budget cuts, workers comp changes and public health needs.

Don’t be left out of NCMS programs and victories on your behalf. To renew your membership online, click here or call the NCMS Member Services Department at 800-722-1350.
