Several thousand more signatures were added this week to the petition asking Congress to “Stop the Medicare Meltdown.” The NCMS and other state medical societies have joined the Texas Medical Association’s campaign that seeks to permanently fix the broken sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula used to determine Medicare physician reimbursement fees.
The more signatures we can gather, the stronger our position will be when the petition is delivered to Congress in June. Ask your colleagues, staff, patients and patient-families to join the growing chorus calling for Congress to replace the SGR.
