The NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund (HWTF) this week announced that NCMS member Laura Gerald, MD, MPH, will become the organization’s new executive director, effective July 1, 2010. A native of Lumberton, NC, Dr. Gerald will oversee implementation of the HWTF’s efforts to promote preventive health in North Carolina. She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and her MPH from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
