NCBOT Seeking Physician Member

The North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT), http://www.ncbot.org/, is seeking to fill its physician member position effective immediately. Candidates must be a physician in good standing with the North Carolina Medical Board and licensed by and registered with the North Carolina Medical Board to practice medicine in this State, but need not be practicing to serve on the NCBOT.

Responsibilities of the physician member include participating in six (6) all-day NCBOT meetings per year (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov) and providing clinical and ethical reasoning to regulatory, disciplinary, and policy matters that come before the Board. The appointment is a four-year term. All travel, lodging, and subsistence related to Board work will be reimbursed at the state rate, and a $100/day per diem payment is allotted for meetings and other Board matters.

Interested physicians may contact Lauren Holahan, NCBOT Chair, at [email protected] for more information. Upon identifying a candidate the NCBOT will provide the nomination to the NC Medical Society for approval and appointment.
