The State Health Coordinating Council (SHCC) held its final public hearing on the proposed 2010 North Carolina State Medical Facilities Plan in Raleigh on July 31. Physicians and NCMS staff have been attending the hearings, and the NCMS has submitted comments on the Draft Plan in a letter to SHCC Chair Dan A. Myers, MD. The NCMS supports the single specialty ambulatory surgery demonstration project that is included in the Plan and has offered comments aimed at improving the proposed project.
