The NCMS Foundation will be receiving a $10,000 gift from the Estate of Lilian Sewell “Sue” Jones, RN.  Mrs. Jones was the widow of Frank W. Jones, MD, who was President of the NCMS in 1967. Dr. Jones, a general surgeon, was the first Chief of Staff at Catawba Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Jones, a registered nurse, was active in the Medical Society Alliance and founded a student loan program for Catawba County students interested in pursuing health related professions.  Dr. and Mrs. Jones resided in Newton, North Carolina.  For more information on ways to give to the NCMS Foundation, visit http://www.ncmsfoundation.org/ or contact Linda Russell at 919-833-3836, ext. 145.
