The North Carolina Medical Society along with 22 other state and specialty medical societies have signed onto a letter calling on House and Senate committees considering repeal of the Sustainable Growth Rate to do away with this flawed Medicare payment system.

The letter to the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee members concludes: “Medicare beneficiaries should receive the best possible care available, and the medical profession is unquestionably committed to delivering high quality healthcare.”
