Moses Cone vice president Judy Schanel has been named president of the Moses H. Cone Hospital and executive vice president of Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro.  She succeeds Tom Gettinger, who recently took a position with WakeMed in Raleigh. Schanel’s appointment is effective August 9.  She joined Moses Cone as part of the health services division in 2002.  Schanel earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.
