News about Grants in Health Care

The NC Rural Center has announced that a second round of funding is available for the Rural Health Care Initiatives grants program. Grants are available to assist health care entities with renovation and/or construction projects in rural North Carolina. Up to $480,000 is available per project, with actual grant amounts determined by the number of new, full-time jobs that will be created as a result of the bricks and mortar improvements. Program details and application materials are available at http://www.ncruralcenter.org/initiatives/healthcareindex.htm.

The NC License to Give Trust Fund Commission seeks applications for Grants-in-Aid to non-profit entities to conduct education and awareness activities on organ and tissue donation and advance care planning. The purpose of education and awareness on advance planning is to encourage thoughtful end-of-life decisions including organ and tissue donation as an equal consideration in this process of advance care planning.  Approximately $500,000 will be awarded annually.
