The CDC reports that North Carolina is among 26 states that have reported widespread influenza activity. The list includes states surrounding North Carolina. According to the CDC, visits to doctors for influenza-like illness are increasing nationally, are higher than what is typically experienced during this time of year and have increased for six consecutive weeks.
