Edward Treadwell, MD, was installed as President of the Old North State Medical Society at the organization’s annual meeting on June 18 in Greensboro. Dr. Treadwell is a rheumatologist and professor of medicine at the Brody School of Medicine at ECU in Greenville. He will serve a two-year term. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and has been an active member of the NCMS since 1983. The Old North State Medical Society is the nation’s oldest association of black physicians and was founded in 1886.
