Sheets Presents Stained Glass Gift to the NCMS

Doug Sheets, MD, of Rutherfordton, served as President of the NCMS during 2009-2010.  Despite a busy presidency that included travel around the state and maintaining a busy gynecology practice, Dr. Sheets continued to pursue his artistic passions that include creating unique stained glass and pottery.  At the recent meeting of the NCMS Board of Directors, Dr. Sheets presented his latest donation to the NCMS of a handcrafted, stained glass interpretation of the NCMS Logo. In the photo, NCMS President John Mangum, MD (center)  receives the gift from Dr. Sheets (r). President-elect Charlie Monteiro, MD is shown at left. The beautiful piece is now displayed in its permanent home at the NCMS headquarters building.
