Philip Brown, MD, Elected President of Wilmington Health Board of Directors

brown-philipCongratulations to Philip M. Brown, Jr., MD, a surgeon with Wilmington Health, who has been named president of its board of directors.

Brown currently serves as the co-chair of the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation’s Kanof Institute for Physician Leadership Physician Advisory Board.

“We are honored to bring Dr. Brown to the Wilmington Health Board of Directors as President. He provides leadership that promotes the quality of our providers in Wilmington locally and across the state,” Wilmington Health CEO Jeff James said in a statement.

Dr. Brown was formerly the president of the New Hanover-Pender County Medical Society. He also assisted in the founding of the first office-based Endovascular Intervention Center in southeastern North Carolina, according to the release.
