Twenty-seven US Senators have called for changes in the CMS’ proposed rule on “meaningful use” of electronic health records (EHR). The bipartisan group sent a letter to CMS Administrator Charlene Frizzera seeking a more gradual implementation of the rule, as well as relaxing or changing other EHR mandates. Shouldn’t NCMS give us guidance on selecting an EHR vendor? A poll of local practices that already have an EHR would be a good start. I know you can get that thru the Klas report, but a local take would be nice.
