Dr. Dulin responds that your primary care provider will have to leverage information technology and learn how to develop systems of care to create medical homes for patients so that you see someone who knows you and your expectiations well.  Physicians are going to have to learn how to deliver care in a better way and link to community resources in a better way. We can no longer work in isolation.

Garmon-Brown also noted that outstanding mid-levels can provide services and improve what physicians are able to do in providing care. Patients will also have to take more responsibility for their care.
