The NC House passed S287 – State Health Plan $ / Good Health Initiatives with a near party line vote.  The revised bill increases the cost of the fix to well over $700 million dollars.  It raises co-pays, deductibles and dependent care premiums.  Required audits have been added to try to give the General Assembly some idea of how to proceed with a more permanent fix.  The Senate must now decide whether to concur with the House revisions to the bill.  Payment delays for provider services continue to be a possibility.  NCMS will update you on the detailed changes in the bill once it is sent to the Governor.
