Chip Baggett, Director of Legislative Relations for the NC Medical Society, was awarded the 2009 Presidents Award by the NC Medical Group Managers Association (NC MGMA) on September 17. The award is given out annually to someone that has provided outstanding services and contributions to the Association, its members and medical practice management. Chip has served as a consultant to the NC MGMA Advocacy Committee on legislative issues since he joined the NCMS in 2007.  The partnership between the two organizations has contributed to the passage of a number of significant insurance reforms at the NC General Assembly. Chip attributes their success to the many NC MGMA members that have made significant efforts to build grassroots relationships with their legislators over the past several years.
