Many statements have been made lately about the tax reforms coming in North Carolina, including eliminating the personal income tax and taxing services like doctor’s office visits. The only thing for certain is that thus far it has all been talk. No bill has yet been introduced at the General Assembly outlining a tax reform plan.

The NCMS lobbying team is keeping close tabs on the rhetoric and any tax bill that is filed at the legislature. Once a bill is filed, we will analyze the approach that best serves our members’ interests.
