You have probably heard about the significant financial incentives available to physicians and hospitals that adopt and achieve meaningful use of electronic health records. But did you know that physicians and hospitals that fail to demonstrate meaningful use by 2015 face reimbursement reductions?     So what? With the current cuts that are taking effect, I don’t plan on being a Medicare provider by that time, anyway. Why the hell should I invest time and money complying with these mandates only to have the financial rug pulled from under me?
